Mission
The Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity works to achieve an equitable, inclusive and healthy society, culture, and economy where the most vulnerable, disenfranchised and marginalized have equal opportunities and access to the resources and tools needed to achieve a dignified quality of life.
-
AccompanimentWe train San Francisco Bay Area congregations to form a team to walk alongside recently arrived immigrants for six months. The teams support the immigrants self-sufficiency by introducing them to local resources. By working toward families goals together, we create sanctuary, safety, and friendship in the community. Public EducationWe aim to create systemic changes that reduce the grip of incarceration and make our immigration system more just and humane. We advocate the following reforms: * Close immigrant detention centers in California.* State incentives for local communities to end detention contracts. * Reduce funding for federal immigration enforcement. * Protect and improve pathways for asylum seekers. * Close ten California prisons.* End punitive and racially disproportionate sentencing like life without parole. * Expand public investment in reentry and reception for returning citizens and people who have been imprisoned in immigrant detention facilities. Leadership Development We strengthen leadership pathways for immigrants and formerly incarcerated people. We develop leadership trainings and a program to integrate immigrants and those impacted by incarceration into our organization. Well continue our successful spiritual activist in residence program, which sponsors a directly impacted leader each year to work with our organization as an organizer and spokesperson. Strengthen leadership pathways for people of faith. We cultivate new and existing relationships with BIPOC clergy and faith leaders and pursue a deliberate strategy of engagement with Black congregation on immigration and decarceration. We forge strategic relationships with religious networks and denominations that broaden our reach across the state to help achieve policy goals.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
