Search 2.00M tax-exempt organizations by name, as filed with the IRS, or by EIN.

Both filters are classified by us. Revenue bands are from each organization's newest Form 990, 990-EZ or 990-PF in the IRS e-file index. Choosing a band leaves out every organization with no such return — most 990-N filers and churches — not just small ones. To find those, use “IRS expects”: our reading of the filing-requirement codes the IRS publishes for each organization, which say what it should file, not what was actually filed.

Names are matched as filed, so a fragment finds the whole — searching action finds AMERICAN ACTION FORUM INC.

Largest filers

Ranked by the highest total revenue reported on any Form 990 we have parsed. A starting point, not a ranking of the sector — an organization that files the 990-N postcard reports no revenue at all and cannot appear here.
