Mission and programs · 2024

Mission

We are organized for charitable and educational purposes to provide and promote social and educational services and activities to allow the elderly to remain independent, and such other associated activities and enterprises as may further, promote, and facilitate this purpose.

Activities or mission (Part I)

To provide seniors low cost, nutritionally satisfying meals served in strategic locations.

  • Our Congregate and Home Delivered meal Service Program for seniors served 207,240 meals during the fiscal year. Approximately 836 seniors were served over 248 serving days. It is expected that our senior meal recipients will have fewer health problems, fewer doctor visits and shorter hospital stays because of their improved nutritional status. Additionally, maintenance of independent living and access to their communities is enhanced with improved nutrition.

    Expenses $2,173,301 · Revenue $1,232,853

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
