Activities or mission (Part I)

RAISE Texas advances equitable policies and programs that foster financial security and economic mobility for low- and moderate-income Texans. We equip, innovate and advocate to reduce disparities, remove barriers and build opportunities for Texans to be financially secure.

  • RAISE Texas equips nonprofits and community leaders with innovative pilot programs, training, convenings, and resources to improve financial health across Texas. In 2022, we worked with Children's Savings Account programs and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) programs across the state to streamline operations, expand services, and increase access. We provided 16 training courses for the asset-building field and had 909 participants, with 100% reporting that they will use the financial information and best practices shared and 93% rating the sessions as Exceeding Expectations. We also offered 29 AFCPE scholarships for the professional development of financial coaches and counselors.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
