Mission

Stanwood Camano Arts Advocacy Commission (SCAAC) builds community by partnering, educating, celebrating, and advocating for the arts.

  • The organization supports local artists by facilitating calls for public art, from promotion through production of the selected pieces. Our Artist Salons and monthly SCAAC community meetings further support artists by fostering mentorship, partnership, and collaboration, focusing on local arts information, calls for art updates and connections to other arts resources and opportunities. Year-round art education programs offer teaching opportunities for artists and exposure to art for students of all ages and abilities. Collaborations with community partners bring art education programs to preschoolers, youth, elders and everyone in between. An annual art-centric community open house invites everyone to participate in celebrating the arts in our community.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
