Mission and programs · 2023

Primary exempt purpose

The purpose of the Collaborative Community on Ophthalmic Imaging Foundation (the "Foundation") is to improve public health by advancing the diagnosis, management, and treatment of eye diseases and other medical conditions. The Foundation brings together leading experts and organizations from the public and private sectors to exchange information and develop solutions. These experts are from government agencies, academia, patient groups, small medical device manufacturers, software and artificial intelligence developers, and professional and sub-specialty organizations in the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. The Foundation was formed to formalize the collaborative community and continue its efforts to advance knowledge about ophthalmic imaging and its usefulness as tool to diagnose and treat disease.

  • The Foundation will be holding a virtual annual Collaborative Community on Ophthalmic Imaging Conference in Jan. 2024. This conference furthers the Foundation's exempt purposes by providing the opportunity for stakeholders in the ophthalmic imaging space to develop relationships, share knowledge and insights, and together improve the diagnosis, management, and treatment of eye diseases and other medical conditions. For the pervious virtual event held in Jan 2023, it had 436 registrants.
