-
OPERATION SHOWER'S MISSION IS TO HOST GROUP BABY SHOWERS FOR MILITARY MOMS AND MOMS-TO-BE. WE ASK THAT THE MOMS HAVE NOT BEEN PREVIOUSLY SHOWERED BY ANOTHER GROUP DURING THE CURRENT PREGNANCY, AND THAT THE BABY IS NO OLDER THAN THREE MONTHS AT THE TIME OF THE SHOWER. IN 2022, OPERATION SHOWER BEGAN THE YEAR HOSTING 3 VIRTUAL BABY SHOWERS WHILE ALSO BEGINNING TO HOST IN-PERSON SHOWERS AGAIN. OPERATION SHOWER CONTINUED ITS B IS FOR BABY PROGRAM AND WELCOME, BABY BOX PROGRAM.OPERATION SHOWER HOSTED 15 GROUP BABY SHOWERS IN 2022 FOR MOMS IN ARIZONA, COLORADO, CONNECTICUT, FLORIDA, NEW YORK, TEXAS, VIRGINIA, MASSACHUSETTS, UTAH AND MISSOURI. THE SHOWERS WERE ON AVERAGE OVER 29 MOMS. OPERATION SHOWER ALSO SENT OVER 330 ADDITIONAL SHOWER BOXES TO MILITARY MOMS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF MOMS SERVED IN 2022 WAS 765 MOMS. FAMILIES IN ALL BRANCHES OF THE MILITARY WERE SERVED BY OUR SHOWERS. OPERATION SHOWER PROVIDED BABY GIFTS TO THE FAMILIES TO RELIEVE THE STRESS CAUSED BY DEPLOYMENT AND ACTIVE DUTY AND ALLOWED FAMILIES IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS TO CONNECT WITH EACH OTHER. THROUGH OPERATION SHOWER'S B IS FOR BABY PROGRAM AND WELCOME, BABY BOX PROGRAM, THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE BABY SHOWERS IN A BOX TO THOSE FAMILIES WHO WERE UNABLE TO BE AT A SHOWER IN PERSON OR VIRTUALLY. THIS PROGRAM HAS ALLOWED THE ORGANIZATION TO REACH FAMILIES AND PROVIDE ITEMS TO THOSE IN NEED AND DESERVING OF THE ORGANIZATION'S SUPPORT. Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
