Mission

THE MISSION OF THE PARDES JEWISH DAY SCHOOL IS TO PREPARE STUDENTS TO BECOME OUTSTANDING MEMBERS OF SOCIETY THROUGH A RIGOROUS SECULAR AND JUDAIC EDUCATION, A NURTURING COMMUNITY, AND A FOUNDATION IN REFORM JUDAISM THAT WELCOMES ALL JEWISH TRADITIONS.

Activities or mission (Part I)

THE PARDES JEWISH DAY SCHOOL PREPARES STUDENTS TO BECOME OUTSTANDING MEMBERS OF (CON'T SCH O) SOCIETY THROUGH A RIGOROUS SECULAR AND JUDAIC EDUCATION, A NURTURING COMMUNITY, AND A FOUNDATION IN REFORM JUDAISM THAT WELCOMES ALL JEWISH TRADITIONS.

  • FOUNDED IN 1993, PARDES JEWISH DAY SCHOOL IS AN INDEPENDENT DAY SCHOOL PROVIDING A DYNAMIC K-8 SECULAR AND JEWISH EDUCATION TO NEARLY 300 STUDENTS IN A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT THAT VALUES EACH CHILD'S INDIVIDUAL STRENGTHS. OUR PROGRAM COMBINES A COMPREHENSIVE ACADEMIC CURRICULUM THAT ACTIVELY ENGAGES STUDENTS IN LEARNING THROUGH INQUIRY, INVESTIGATION, CREATION AND DEMONSTRATION. STUDENTS EXPLORE HEBREW, JEWISH STUDIES, MAKERSPACE, ART, SPANISH, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND MUSICAL THEATRE IN ADDITION TO CORE CLASSES. OUR INCLUSIVE PARDES COMMUNITY EMBRACES STUDENTS FROM DIVERSE JEWISH BACKGROUNDS. WE IMPACT AND ENRICH OUR STUDENTS' JEWISH IDENTITIES THROUGH THE TEACHING OF JEWISH THOUGHT, CULTURE, AND RITUAL. AT PARDES, CHILDREN AREN'T JUST STUDENTS, THEY ARE ARTISTS, ATHLETES, ACTORS AND (CONT'D SCH O) MUSICIANS WHOSE TALENTS ARE NURTURED AND ENCOURAGED TO SHINE. THE RESULT IS MOTIVATED STUDENTS WHO, UPON GRADUATION, ARE ACCEPTED TO THE AREA'S FINEST HIGH SCHOOLS. IN ADDITION TO FOCUSING ON CONTINUING TO PROVIDE AN EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATION, THE SCHOOL HAS SUCCESSFULLY INCORPORATED VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING CENTERED AROUND MAINTAINING A COHESIVE PARDES COMMUNITY. PARENT AND COMMUNITY RESPONSES WERE EXCEPTIONAL.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
