  • FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 28, PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Wildfire continued our comeback in 2022 with in person classes and events. The partnership with the Town of Berthoud began in 2022 providing operating income in exchange for arts programing for town citizens. One of the major benefits of the town partnership was the ability to hire two part time administrators to assist with operations. Wildfire now has an administrative/grants director and a programming director which has increased the visibility and impact of Wildfire across the board. The in-person dance classes resumed, our Hula program and our Vintage ballet program continued meeting with near pre-pandemic participation and the tap program got going and has reached the former class sizes. A children's choir program started and will give several performances at town events this year. A drumming circle and class have resumed as well. In totality Wildfire offered 25 different classes and workshops throughout the year with participation of 3,520 people. The art classes continued and expanded. Once again one of the more popular arts programming classes was our weekly U-Create booth at the local park where the Farmer's Market is held from late June through September which resulted in 728 visits in 12 weeks. The teachers do a new project each week and we heard from families that their children were adamant about making it to the Wildfire booth each Saturday. New children's art classes were offered, and art camps during the summer. Wildfire held its annual Artists Market in early December with a reception and mini-concert. There were eight vendors and visits by about 200 people during the sale and reception, the market was part of the small business Saturday program in town. Wildfire's other signature event, the Street Fest, resumed with two live bands, and attendance at about 500 people. This past year, 2022, was one of rejuvenation and renewed vigor for Wildfire as we celebrated the 20th anniversary of its founding. Our public/private partnership with the Town has allowed Wildfire to expand and do important work that will help us keep going for another 20 years.
