Mission
Opera Lafayette seeks to bring fresh interpretations of rediscovered gems and historical masterpieces from the 17th through 19th centuries to modern audiences. We seek to illuminate the contemporary relevance of the works while simultaneously highlighting their original appeal. Central to the company's mission is building a legacy of the timeless repertoire Opera Lafayette brings back to life with period instruments. This is achieved through an extensive discography, mounting revivals, and inspiring a public appreciation for this repertoire through its audience engagement programs for audiences of all ages.

We also presented our online adult learning Salon Series, engaging patrons from the United States and beyond, hosted free pre-show discussions prior to each performance, and commissioned and published a collection of academic essays to complement our season, which are freely available to the public online.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
