Mission

TO PREVENT HOMELESSNESS AND PROVIDE STABILITY FOR FAMILIES IN CRISIS.

  • The mission of Adopt A Family of Marin is to prevent homelessness and provide stability for families in need of assistance. Adopt A Family provides financial assistance and case management support to low income families all over Marin County. Our clients include families with children under the age of 18. We provide financial assistance for rent, security deposits, food, utilities, safety-related car repair and credit repair. We determine the type, level and extent of financial assistance through assessment, case management and appropriate information and referral. Parents meet with Adopt A Family case managers prior to assistance determination, either in the office, in home visits, or over the telephone. All financial assistance is paid directly to the service providers and not to the clients.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
