Activities or mission (Part I)

The Payne Phalen Community Council's (PPCC) mission is to improve our district's neighborhoods by engaging, educating and empowering all residents in our diverse community. PPCC engages the community by advancing physical, social and economic development within our neighborhood and commercial areas.

  • Engage residents in proposing, facilitating and addressing development and land use options, including housing and commercial projects. Work includes citizen review of development plans, licensing, zoning and related matters that impact the business environment and improve quality of life,

    Expenses $142,816 · Revenue $142,381

  • Enabled PPCC to help with engagement related to the roll-out of the new car sharing service Evie.

    Expenses $27,844 · Revenue $27,844

  • Hiring translators to work with us, side-by-side in-community, to conduct presentations, discussions, and trainings in the primary language of our residents and households: Hmong, Spanish, Somali and Karen. This allowed PPCC and our project partners to center BIPOC voices and help ensure that we are overcoming a common barrier (language) thereby creating and enhancing access to low cost, convenient, clean-energy transportation options for those whose employment and education options are limited because they cannot afford to own their own car.

    Expenses $36,786 · Revenue $44,750

As filed on the 2023 return.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
