Mission and programs · 2022
Mission
The Organization's mission is to build the community, one home, one family at a time by making it possible for low-income families to own decent, affordable and energy-efficient homes.
-
ReStore is the retail arm of Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity. It sells donated, gently used building and home furnishing items below retail prices. Operating profits from ReStore sales are used to fund Habitat programs and administrative costs. Excess profits are directed toward construction of homes.
Expenses $680,119 · Revenue $1,355,598
-
Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity builds the community by providing low-income families with decent, affordable and energy-efficient homes. Habitat serves families that are in the 30-60% of Area Median Income (AMI) range. All Habitat homes are volunteer built, and recipient families work alongside volunteers to contribute 350 hours of "sweat equity" toward construction of their home. Habitat raises all monies needed for land and construction. The homes are built using both purchased and donated goods. The construction area of Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity also has a home repair program that provides minor home repairs to alleviate safety issues, improve the quality of life and restores the appearance of home exteriors for low income homeowners.
Expenses $622,733 · Revenue $130,000
-
Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity provides low-income, qualifying families with mortgages and mortgage servicing. The loans are financed by Greater Albuquerque Habitat with a zero percent mortgage and at no profit to the affiliate. Low-income families who demonstrate financial stability, a willingness to partner with Habitat and housing need can achieve homeownership and start on the path to family stability and stopping their cycle of poverty.
Expenses $258,943 · Revenue $211,156

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
