Activities or mission (Part I)

GREATER BAYBROOK ALLIANCE IS NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, RESPONSIBLE FOR A WIDE RANGE OF COMMUNITY BUILDING, NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION, AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FOR THE SOUTH BALTIMORE PENINSULA.

  • Capital Construction, Investment, and Rehabilitation: GBA implements meaningful capital improvement projects that address disinvestment in Baybrooks neighborhoods such as upgrades to public parks, green spaces, and recreational amenities; improvements to residential blocks; and physical interventions in crime-facilitating spaces using a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design framework. • Community-Based Violence Reduction: GBA is advancing the Baybrook Violence Reduction Plan (BVRP) through collaborative activities in high-risk areas, supporting resident-led events and programs that positively activate properties and locations that facilitate violence and by training resident leaders to address and report crime and quality-of-life concerns on their blocks and among their neighbors.

    Expenses $717,046

  • Small Business Support: GBA provides small business support through retail improvement grants which are used for vacancy remediation, tenant fit-out, and facade improvements. Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
