FOSTER ECONOMIC GROWTH AND IMPROVED QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA BY PRODUCING EVENTS, ENHANCING ITS NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL IMAGE AS A PREMIER SPORTS REGION, AND INCREASING COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF THE VALUE OF SPORTS.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS: THE SPORTS COMMISSION FACILITATES BROAD-BASED COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IN AND SUPPORT OF SPORTS EVENTS; AND PROMOTES RELEVANT ACTIVITIES IN THE MEDIA AND THROUGHOUT THE REGION.

EVENT MANAGEMENT: THE SPORTS COMMISSION ATTRACTS, CREATES AND MANAGES SPORTING EVENTS AND PROGRAMS IN THE ST. LOUIS REGION. IN 2024, ITS MAJOR EVENTS INCLUDED ACHA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, NCAA DIVISON I MEN'S ICE HOCKEY REGIONAL, MIZZOU TO THE LOU WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS QUAD, AND THE MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.
