Mission

THE AZAFP IS DEDICATED TO PROMOTING THE HEALTH OF THE PEOPLE IN ARIZONA BY REPRESENTING AND PROMOTING THE SPECIALTY OF FAMILY MEDICINE AND SUPPORTING AZAFP MEMBERS IN THEIR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE OF ARIZONA.

Activities or mission (Part I)

THE AZAFP IS DEDICATED TO PROMOTING THE HEALTH OF THE PEOPLE IN ARIZONA BY REPRESENTING AND PROMOTING THE SPECIALTY OF FAMILY MEDICINE AND SUPPORTING AZAFP MEMBERS IN THEIR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SERVICE.

  • 2024 WAS FILLED WITH EDUCATION AND FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE AMAZING AZAFP MEMBERS 2024 KICKED OFF WITH THE AZ ACADEMY OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS HOSTING THE MULTI-STATE FORUM AT THE AIRPORT MARRIOTT IN FEBRUARY. THIS REGIONAL 1.5-DAY MEETING ALLOWS MOSTLY WESTERN STATES TO SHARE IDEAS AND LEARN ABOUT BEST PRACTICES. NORMALLY, THIS MEETING IS HELD IN DALLAS, TX BUT AZAFP EVP, LAURA DEARING, SUGGESTED THAT THE MEETING MIGHT BE MORE ENJOYABLE IF IT ROTATES TO THE VARIOUS HOST CHAPTERS. THIS WOULD ALLOW PARTICIPANTS TO SEE LOCATIONS OTHER THAN THE INSIDE OF THE DALLAS AIRPORT. THIS MULTI-STATE MEETING COVERED A RANGE OF INTERESTING TOPICS, INCLUDING WORKFORCE, PAYMENT, MEMBER VALUE, AND MORE. MANY ARIZONA SPEAKERS AS WELL AS AAFP STAFF AND AAFP CEO/EVP R. SHAWN MARTIN, JD. THIS CONFERENCE RECEIVED GOOD EVALUATIONS. THE ANNUAL CLINICAL EDUCATION ACE CONFERENCE WAS HELD IN MARCH AT THE DOWNTOWN PHOENIX CREIGHTON MEDICAL SCHOOL FOR THE FIRST TIME
