Mission

THE VJTI INTERNATIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION WILL PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALUMNI OF THE VEERMATA JIJABAI TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE (VJTI), MUMBAI, INDIA TO NETWORK AND INTERACT VIA MEETUPS, GET TOGETHERS, SEMINARS, AND THE LIKE. ADDITIONALLY, THE VJTI INTERNATIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AIMS TO LEVERAGE THE EXPERTISE OF VJTI ALUMNI TO MENTOR AND GUIDE STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF OF VJTI IN WAYS SUCH AS TECHNOLOGY AND INFRASTRUCTURE EXPERTISE, CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT AND ASSOCIATED PROGRAMS, SUPPORTING STUDENT LEARNING, LEADERSHIP, CREATIVITY, AND EXCELLENCE, ENABLING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR FACULTY AND STAFF, AND IDENTIFYING THE RIGHT COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITIES BETWEEN VJTI AND US BASED UNIVERSITIES AND ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS. THE ASSOCIATION WILL ALSO FACILITATE FUNDRAISING EFFORTS FOR TARGETED EDUCATION INITIATIVES AND INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR VJTI.

THE VJTI INTERNATIONAL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION ORGANIZED AND OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES.

  • 1. COMPLETED FUNDRAISING AND MADE A GRANT FOR THE TJ TALREJA AND GOLDMAN SACHS SCHOLARSHIP FUND AT VJTI.2. COMPLETED FUNDRAISING AND MADE A GRANT FOR THE SUBHASH KANAKARAJU SCHOLARSHIP FUND AT VJTI.3. INTIAITATED TWO NEW PROJECTS: ESTABLISHMENT OF THE VJTI CHAIR PROFESSORSHIP FUND AND THE VJTI CLASS OF ELECTRONICS 1998 RESEARCH AND INNOVATION FUND.4. ORGANIZED MEETUPS FOR VJTI ALUMNI IN THE UNITED STATES TO CONNECT WITH EACH OTHER AND THEIR ALMA MATER.
