Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.

The filer's explanations (Part III)

Part I, Line 4b
David Rosen: The Jewish Federation has an agreement with David Rosen which provides for annual payments of $25,000 per year that began in 2018 and will end in 2028. In 2017, the Jewish Federation entered into a second agreement with David Rosen which provides for annual payments of $25,000 that began in 2022 and will end in 2032. David Rosen vested in this benefit in 2022 and the present value of these future benefit payments, which was $207,139 is included in his 2022 reportable compensation. This amount was not paid out in cash to David Rosen in 2022. It represents a one-time actuarially determined figure that is taxable in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code. JUF has an agreement with Jay Tcath that provides for annual payments of $25,000 for 10 years commencing upon his retirement from JUF or if he is no longer employed by JUF, upon reaching age 64. In July 2018, JUF entered a split dollar life insurance agreement with Jay Tcath that will provide a death benefit of $625,000 if he maintains his employment at JUF through June 2023. In addition, JUF and Mr. Tcath entered into another agreement that will provide 15 annual payments of approximately $33,000 per year starting in 2024 and ending in 2038.

Part I's answers as filed. A line not listed was left unanswered; on lines 1a and 3 that means the box was not checked.
