Mission and programs · 2024

Mission

Hope for Justice is a human-rights based organization committed to supporting the complex needs of victims and survivors of human trafficking, including forced labor and sexual exploitation. Our mission at Hope for Justice is bringing freedom from human trafficking by identifying victims, supporting survivors and preventing exploitation.

Activities or mission (Part I)

Hope For Justice exists to bring an end to modern day slavery and human trafficking by rescuing victims, restoring lives and reforming society.

  • Hope for Justice's core U.S. programs help victims and survivors of human trafficking through direct intervention, chiefly in the states housing our three regional centers (Tennessee, Iowa, North Carolina) and nearby areas. This work involves outreach to at-risk communities; trafficking investigations, victim identification and recovery to a place of safety; and survivor support and advocacy through our rise program (restore, inspire, strengthen, and empower), based at our North Carolina center. This integrated suite of services offers trauma-informed care and support, community engagement and comprehensive case management. We also offer training to professionals including law enforcement, healthcare and non-governmental services in the community, and to the public, via instructor-led sessions or our online learning academy portal. Additionally, Hope for Justice advocates for improvements to anti-trafficking policy, legislation and working practices at the state and federal level.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
