THE GENERAL PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED ARE TO PROMOTE "SOCIAL WELFARE" BY DEVELOPING AND ADVOCATING FOR LEGISLATION, REGULATIONS, AND GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS TO IMPROVE THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY.

  • THE MAIN ITEMS DRUM MAJORS FOR CHANGE WORKED ON IN 2023 WERE: - FULL COURT PRESS TO GET CNGRESS AND THE PRESIDENT TO PASS VOTING RIGHTS LEGISLATION. S-3 WAS A KEY PARTBNER IN THIS ENDEAVOR. - VETTING BOOTS-ON-THE-GROUND GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATIONS AROUND THE USA TO BE SURE THEY WERE WORTHY OF DONATIONS TO SUPPORT THEIR OPERATINS AND ACTIVITIES AROUND LOCAL ORGANIZING. - ESTABLISHING ORGANIZATIONAL GOVERNANCE AND BUILDING ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY.
