Mission
THE LIBRARY OF AMERICAN BROADCASTING FOUNDATION WORKS TO RAISE MONEY TO PRIMARILY SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE LIBRARY OF AMERICAN BROADCASTING COLLECTION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND. THESE EFFORTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO HOSTING A GIANTS OF AMERICAN BROADCASTING AND ELECTRONIC ARTS PROGRAM EACH YEAR.

EFFECTIVE 1/14/2015, LABF NEGOTIATED A NEW AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, WHICH HOUSES THE LIBRARY OF AMERICAN BROADCASTING. DURING 2024, LABF PAID $50,000 TO UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND TO SUPPORT THE COST OF HOUSING THE LIBRARY OF AMERICAN BROADCASTING. LABF CONTRIBUTED $23,238 TO INTERNATIONAL RADIO AND TELEVISION SOCIETY FOUNDATION TO BENEFIT THEIR STUDENT TRAINING PROGRAMS AND DIVERSITY INITIATIVES. THROUGH THE BROADCAST EDUCATION ASSOCIATION, LABF AWARDED $2,500 FOR THE BROADCAST HISTORIAN AWARD, $3,000 AS A SCHOLARSHIP AND $2,500 FOR THE LEIBNER COOPER GRANT.
