THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES ADVOCACY FOR ITS MEMBERS BY ACTIVELY LOBBYING MEMBERS OF THE IOWA GENERAL ASSEMBLY DURING EACH ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE SESSION. THE ASSOCIATION OPPOSES LEGISLATION THAT WOULD LIMIT LIABILITY OR WRONGDOERS, WORKS TO EXTEND RIGHTS TO IOWANS WHO ARE DENIED APPROPRIATE ACCESS TO OUR JUSTICE SYSTEMS, AND ADVOCATES THE REMOVAL OF LITIGATION BARRIERS THAT UNDULY BURDEN IOWANS WHO ARE PURSUING JUSTICE IN THE COURTS.
