Mission
Provide evidence-based healing techniques to veterans and first responders with post-traumatic stress to support healing through management of mind, body, and soul.
-
Warriors Ascent is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps veterans and first responders struggling with post-traumatic stress. Weve run 48 5-day retreats (cohorts) serving nearly 500 people in the last 6+ years. Our retreats (cohorts) are offered at no charge to veterans and first responders. We empower our participants to take ownership of their lives and healing by providing the tools to heal and tend the mind, body, and soul. Bottom line: We save and change lives. Warriors Ascent uses a holistic approach employing cognitive-behavioral instruction, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, nutrition, cathartic activities, and community. Ours is a capacity-building model in that we endeavor to work ourselves out of a job by providing Americas heroes with the skills and practices for self-care, healing, and post-traumatic growth.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
