Mission
To ease and heal the emotional trauma of the victim and the family guide the victim through the maze of the medical and legal systems, provide support for making informed decisions and advocate for victim.
-
The CAC provides a multidisciplinary approach to the intervention, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse. No other agency in the community provides coordination of services for child abuse victims. The CAC provides a consistent, non-threatening, developmentally appropriate approach to the forensic interviewing of children. Forensic interviewing allows a child to be interviewed once at which time the investigation team members gather all information they need. This prevents repeated interviews of a child by different individuals which can further traumatize a child. As part of the services to the family, a client advocate shares resources with the non-offending caregivers to ensure that the family understands how to keep their children safe following an investigation as well as providing the family with information about community and government assistance available to them. The Center provides crisis intervention, hospital and judicial accompaniment, forensix inverviews, advocacy and therapy to all persons who report abuse, assault or witness domestic violence.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
