The WBO initiated a non-residential research fellows program as the first step in establishing a policy think tank on Brazil in Washington D.C. We invited eleven scholars who already had connections with the WBO to join this project. The research fellows met monthly to discuss the political situation in Brazil and contributed articles to the weekly WBO Bulletin on the elections.

In July 2022 a communications coordinator was hired. In the second half of the year the result was the multiplication of mentions of the WBO in the Brazilian and foreign press. There was also an increase in the number of WBO followers on social networks visitors to the organization's website interviews given by its directors and publication of opinion articles in major newspapers. The WBO now has a mailing list of 182 Brazilian and foreign journalists. These journalists have received 20 press releases published by the WBO in the second semester of the year an average of 5 releases per month or more than one per week which are now grouped together in a new section of the website.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
