Through collaborative partnerships, community resource fairs, evidence-based programs, and compassionate support, Father Matters helps individuals and families achieve stability, strengthen relationships, increase self-sufficiency, and create lasting opportunities for long-term personal, family, and economic success.
Activities or mission (Part I)
Father Matters is dedicated to strengthening individuals, families, and underserved communities by providing comprehensive services that promote stability, self-sufficiency, and long-term success. We offer personalized case management, employment and workforce development, reentry services, parenting education, supervised visitation, family reunification, SNAP outreach and application assistance, and community resource navigation. We connect individuals and families to essential resources through our food pantry, resource room, transportation assistance, work shoe vouchers, and referrals to housing, healthcare, education, and other supportive services. Through community partnerships, resource fairs, and evidence-based programs, Father Matters empowers people to overcome barriers, strengthen families, achieve economic independence, and build brighter futures.
-
Our first major accomplishment in 2025 was delivering comprehensive case management and skill-building services that empowered individuals and families to achieve greater stability, self-sufficiency, and long-term success. Through personalized case management, our team worked one-on-one with participants to identify goals, develop individualized action plans, address barriers, and connect them to essential resources. Services included SNAP outreach and application assistance, employment and educational opportunities, job readiness training, housing navigation, transportation assistance, work shoe vouchers, birth certificate and identification fee vouchers, family reunification services, parenting support, and other supportive services tailored to each participant's unique needs. To further strengthen outcomes, Father Matters provided workshops in life skills, workforce development, financial literacy, parenting, digital literacy, and personal development, equipping participants with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools needed to secure employment, strengthen their families, increase financial stability, and build a foundation for long-term personal and economic success.
Expenses $149,913 · Revenue $149,913
-
Our second key accomplishment in 2025 was expanding the impact of our Resource Room and Quarterly Resource Fairs by increasing access to essential goods and supportive services for individuals and families in need. In addition to distributing donated items, Father Matters purchased critical supplies to ensure participants had consistent access to necessities when donations were insufficient. These resources included food, hygiene products, clothing, shoes, household goods, school supplies, diapers, baby items, work-related supplies, and other essential items. The Resource Room serves as a vital hub for addressing immediate basic needs, while our Quarterly Resource Fairs connect participants with community partners, health and social service providers, employment resources, and public benefits. Together, these initiatives reduce barriers, improve access to critical resources, promote stability, and help individuals and families move toward greater self-sufficiency and long-term success.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
