Mission

RTP repairs homes, revitalizes communities, and rebuilds lives.

Activities or mission (Part I)

Rebuilding Together Peninsula ("RTP") repairs homes, revitalizes communities, and rebuilds lives.

  • [Re]build Days: RTP partners with community sponsors to provide larger, more complex repairs (fences, wheelchair ramp installations for elderly and disabled homeowners, major debris removal) in April and October for an average of 30 low-income homeowners and nonprofit agencies throughout San Mateo and Northern Santa Clara Counties. These repairs provide increased safety and health for hundreds of members of the community each year and are carried out with the support of over 700 volunteers annually.

    Expenses $692,173

  • Safe at Home (SAH): In response to critical home repair needs that arise throughout the year, RTP manages smaller projects on an ongoing basis to address immediate health and safety concerns with safety repairs, such as installing grab bars, repairing unsafe flooring, installing smoke detectors, fixing lighting, and more. The program currently serves 100 low-income homeowners annually with the support of staff, AmeriCorps members, and a handful of skilled volunteers.

    Expenses $759,433

  • Special Projects: Since 2005, RTP has conducted repair projects with sponsoring companies and service groups to engage local volunteers in team building opportunities outside the spring NRD season. RTP conducted approximately ten (10) special projects this year.

    Expenses $125,711

  • Lead Paint:

    Expenses $28,012

As filed on the 2022 return. The filer continues this part on Schedule O, which is not shown here.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
