THROUGH ITS RESEARCH, THE ORGANIZATION WILL AIM TO IDENTIFY THE SKILL DEFICIENCIES IN THE LOCAL WORKFORCE AND OTHER BARRIERS TO ECONOMIC GROWTH AND EXAMINE HOW CERTAIN SOCIAL FACTORS AFFECT THE ECONOMIC PROSPERITY OF TAMPA RESIDENTS. THE RESEARCH WILL BE CONDUCTED BY PAID EMPLOYEES OF THE ORGANIZATION AND WILL BE FUNDED BY GRANTS AND DONATIONS TO THE ORGANIZATION

Activities or mission (Part I)

TO CONDUCT RESEARCH AND EDUCATE OUR COMMUNITY ABOUT ISSUES THAT AFFECT JOB CREATION AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY IN TAMPA BAY.

  • THE TAMPA BAY ECONOMIC PROSPERITY FOUNDATION, WHILE STILL YOUNG, IS HAVING AN OUTSIZED IMPACT ON UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES IN TAMPA.OUR CERTUP CAMPAIGN EVOLVED IN SEVERAL MEANINGFUL WAYS. FIRST, WE AUGMENTED THE NUMBER OF PROGRAMS WE PROMOTED WITH SEVERAL NEW ALLIED HEALTH PROGRAMS, INCLUDING RESPIRATORY CARE, SONOGRAPHY, DENTAL HYGIENE AND NUCLEAR MEDICINE. WE ALSO ADDED AN ELECTRICAL LINE WORKER TRAINING PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TECO AND PROMOTED OUR BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION CERTIFICATE AND DEGREE PROGRAMS TO HELP MORE LOCAL RESIDENTS GAIN ACCESS TO THIS BOOMING INDUSTRY. SECOND, WE CREATED A HIGHLY EFFICIENT, COST-EFFECTIVE STRATEGY THAT LEVERAGED SOCIAL MEDIA TO DRIVE LEADS. THE RESULTS WERE TRULY IMPRESSIVE, WITH THIS CAMPAIGN GENERATING THIRTY-THREE PERCENT MORE LEADS USING TWENTY PERCENT LESS BUDGET THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE. WE'VE SEEN NOTABLE INCREASES IN PROGRAM ENROLLMENTS COMING FROM CERTUP'S TARGETED ZIP CODES, SO WE KNOW THIS CAMPAIGN IS WORKING. WE'RE EAGER TO BUILD UPON ITS SUCCESS AND INTRODUCE PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS TO NEW PROGRAMS LIKE FINTECH IN THE NEXT ONE.THE FOUNDATION WAS PLEASED TO SUPPORT THE STARTUP COSTS FOR OPPORTUNITY TAMPA BAY, INC., WHICH IS IMPLEMENTING THE PLANS FOR COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL REDEVELOPMENT IDENTIFIED IN THE EAST TAMPA INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT MASTER PLAN THAT WE SUPPORTED LAST YEAR. PLANS FOR A LIVE LEARN DEVELOPMENT THAT INCLUDE MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED UNITS OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING SITUATED NEXT TO THE EAST TAMPA INNOVATION CENTER WILL TRANSFORM THIS NEIGHBORHOOD IN MYRIAD WAYS.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
