Mission and programs · 2022

Mission

Apartment communities are filled with people who are hungry for relationships, but one study suggests that half of apartment residents don't have any friends where they live. Apartment Life's passion is to meet that need while transforming lives and providing clear business value for our clients. Apartment Life is a faith-based, non-profit organization that has been serving the apartment industry since 2000. We believe every individual is created for community and that we are called to love our neighbor as ourselves. Our goal is to live this out while providing strong business value to apartment owners. As a faith-based organization, we are committed to Fair Housing guidelines to ensure that all residents are treated fairly, equally, and consistently. We perform our responsibilities and conduct our behavior based on a foundation of core values, which shape our culture, define our character, and guide how we make decisions.

Activities or mission (Part I)

Apartment Life helps apartment owners care for residents by connecting them in relationships, which helps improve the community's financial performance through online reputation, resident satisfaction, and resident retention. Learn more at http://apartmentlife.org.

  • Apartment Life connects and builds community based on the unique needs of the residents. The program is designed to help apartment owners care for residents, and in turn, improve the communitys financial presence through resident retention, resident satisfaction and online reputation. Whether it's offering a listening ear when a resident has a bad day or providing support during life transitions such as job loss or the birth of a baby, Apartment Life Coordinators are passionate about loving residents. They are also familiar with a broad network of community support providers and can partner with your onsite staff to provide residents the resources they need at just the right time. Apartment Life Coordinators work hard to welcome new residents and help them get plugged into the community by inviting them to events. Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.

The filer's explanations (Part III)

Part I, Line 1a: Relevant information in regards to selections on 1a.
Part I, Line 7: Non-Fixed payments not listed above
A written annual bonus plan (ICOMP) exists for certain key employees. Each plan has specific targets relating to program growth, spiritual impact, net operating income vs budget, unrestricted cash levels and/or particular project goals which that employee is accountable for. Overall payments of ICOMP were less than 3% of total compensation in 2022.

Part I's answers as filed. A line not listed was left unanswered; on lines 1a and 3 that means the box was not checked.
