Mission
ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE LOT318 STANDS FOR "LOVING OTHERS IN TRUTH" INSPIRED FROM "LET US NOT LOVE WITH WORDS OR SPEECH BUT WITH ACTIONS AND IN TRUTH." LOT318 ACCOMPLISHES THIS BY EMPOWERING AT-RISK YOUTH IN TWO PLACENTIA COMMUNITIES. WE ENCOURAGE THEM TO SEE THEIR WORTH AND PURPOSE IN THIS WORLD THROUGH VARIOUS EVENTS, SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES, AND COMMUNITY BUILDING EXPERIENCES. WE CHALLENGE EVERYONE TO SERVE OTHERS IN THEIR COMMUNITY AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE AMONG THEIR PEERS. WE VALUE AND BELIEVE IN THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION. OUR VISION STATEMENT IS TO INVEST IN A CHILD, CHANGE A GENERATION, AND BUILD A COMMUNITY. OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES THAT THESE NEIGHBORHOODS MAY NEVER HAVE HAD, SO THAT OUR LOT318 COMMUNITIES VALUE THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO THEM SO THAT THEY WILL BECOME POSITIVE INFLUENCES AND FORCES IN OUR WORLD. WE STRIVE TO LOVE OTHERS IN TRUTH
Activities or mission (Part I)
STATEMENT OF PROGRAM SERVICE ACCORDING TO LOCAL POLICE, THERE ARE THREE TURF GANGS IN THE CITY OF PLACENTIA AND AT ANY GIVEN TIME, THEY HAVE APPROXIMATELY 75-150 MEMBERS. THE LOT318'S AIM IS TO ENTICE AT-RISK YOUTH AWAY FROM GANG ACTIVITY AND PROVIDE POSITIVE, PRODUCTIVE, AND CONSTRUCTIVE PROGRAMS TO THESE COMMUNITIES WHILE IMPROVING THEIR EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCES. SINCE LOT318'S INVOLVEMENT, GANG ACTIVITY HAS DECREASED AND SHIFTED AWAY FROM THESE NEIGHBORHOODS, AND MANY OF LOT318'S STUDENTS ARE NOW EXCELLING IN SCHOOL AS WELL AS INDIVIDUALLY IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDING GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATIONS OF LOT318 WAS STRATEGICALLY PLANNED. LOT318-CYPRESS STREET IS IN THE HEART OF THE LA JOLLA STREET GANG COMMUNITY, SURROUNDED BY APPROXIMATELY 5,000 HOMES AND APARTMENTS IN PLACENTIA. LOT318-GOMEZ CENTER HAS APPROXIMATELY 125 HOMES AND IS LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE ATWOOD STREET GANG COMMUNITY. THESE TWO COMMUNITIES ARE ALSO KNOWN AS "DESERT COMMUNITIES," MEANING THEY HAVE LIMITED ACCESS TO THE LARGER P

THIS DEMONSTRATES TO THEM THAT THEIR HARD WORK IS REWARDING AND THEIR EDUCATION IS VALUABLE ADDITIONALLY, LOT318 CONTINUES THE EFFORTS IN THEIR SUMMER MATH AND READING PROGRAMS. THIS PROVIDES FUN OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE STUDENTS TO MAINTAIN THESE SKILLS INCLUDING PHYSICAL EDUCATION WITH GAMES, AND RECREATIONAL AND SCHOLASTIC FIELD TRIPS THE LOT3EIGHTEENZ (MIDDLE SCHOOL AND OLDER) HAVE A CHANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN BIKE CLUB, SOCIAL GET-TOGETHERS, AND EVEN SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES MANY LOT3EIGHTEENZ VOLUNTEER WITH THE YOUNGER CHILDREN IN HOMEWORK CLUB AND SUMMER PROGRAM AND HELP RECEIVE DONATIONS. THEY ARE BEING EQUIPPED TO LEAD WITH SERVANT'S HEARTS FOCUSING ON THE FAMILY UNIT, LOT318 HAS GAINED TRUST, ALLOWING FOR A DEEPER RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PARENTS OF THE HOMEWORK CLUB AND LOT3EIGHTEENZ STUDENTS. THIS ALLOWS WALLS TO BE BROKEN DOWN AND VULNERABILITIES TO BE SHARED, SO THAT LOT318 MAY COME ALONGSIDE THESE FAMILIES TO EMPOWER AND GIVE THEM THE CONFIDENCE NEEDED TO STRIVE FOR POSITIVE CHANGE WITHIN FOR THE PAST 13 YEARS, LOT318 HAS OFFERED MULTIPLE COMMUNITY-WIDE EVENTS. SUCH EVENTS INCLUDES HOSTING A THANKSGIVING DAY CELEBRATION, OFFERING A STREET FAIR WITH FAMILY PORTRAITS, A CLOTHING DRIVE, GAMES, AND MORE. THIS IS ALL MADE POSSIBLE BECAUSE OF THE COUNTLESS PARTNERSHIPS THAT LOT318 AND ITS' STAFF MEMBERS HAVE ESTABLISHED IN 16 YEARS OF BEING PRESENT IN THE LA JOLLA, PLACENTIA COMMUNITY. LOT318 IS INVESTING IN A CHILD, CHANGING A GENERATION, AND BUILDING A COMMUNITY.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
