Mission
MOBILIZE LEGAL VOLUNTEERS TO TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF THOSE IN NEED.
-
San Antonio Legal Services Association (SALSA) is a corps of attorney volunteers coordinated by professional staff to provide free civil legal services to those with limited means and those who are vulnerable or at-risk. We recruit, train, and support the volunteer attorneys who represent SALSAs clients low-income individuals and families without charge. Our programs are designed to meet significant legal needs in San Antonio and surrounding communities that otherwise would go unaddressed. SALSA volunteers provide free legal services across a variety of civil legal issue areas and multiple areas of substantive law. SALSAs priority program areas include Housing & Homelessness, Estates & Disability, and Veterans Legal Services. In 2022, SALSA assisted over 400 families with free civil legal services.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
