Mission and programs · 2024
Mission
4MyCity is committed to helping reduce food insecurity and reducing food waste by directly transferring fresh, usable food that would otherwise been thrown away from grocers, restaurants, and other food industry sources to food insecure families throughout our local communities.
-
Since 2018, 4MyCiTy Inc. has rescued and redistributed over 315 million pounds of food, providing nutritious meals to more than 13,000 households (90,000 individuals) while diverting 55 million pounds of food waste from landfills through our 24-hour composting process. Our programs, Food Rescue To Go, Compost On The Go, 4MyCiTyU Job Training, and Health Connect, create jobs, reduce emissions, and improve community health. Our mobile app expanded participant tracking of savings, impact, and volunteer hours, helping families move from food insecurity to self-sufficiency and supporting our mission of Zero Waste to Zero Hunger.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
