Mission and programs · 2024
Mission
To build partnerships among volunteers, families, and the community in order to build simple, decent houses for families in need.
-
Construction and sale of homes for low-income families. Loans are financed for the cost of construction plus the value of the land. No interest is charged. The homeowner participates in the construction of the home as part of the contract. During the year ended June 30, 2025, four homes were completed and sold. Repair program allows qualifying low-income homeowners to have minor repairs or accessibility additions to their homes at no cost through homeowner grants. Used and surplus building materials are received as donations and sold through a retail outlet; proceeds are used for the construction of homes for low-income families.
Expenses $1,594,794

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
