Mission and programs · 2022

Primary exempt purpose

We create diverse intergenerational communities of men to support and empower both formally incarcerated men, and at risk youth.

  • Quest Weekends - In 2022 All Kings Project, Inc held four initiatory Quest Weekends at a rural upstate New York camp setting and two initiatory Quest Weekends in New York City. It is the first step in getting men involved with All Kings. Quests are a combination rites of passage and modern psychology of group and individual trauma healing. Approximately 50% of the men attending the Quest Weekends are formerly incarcerated. This is often the first time men process some of the traumas of being incarcerated or the social circumstances that lead them to incarceration. Upon returning, men who attend this training usually find it easier to integrate into the day-to-day rhythms of their jobs, home and family life. Approximately 160 men attended these training.

    Expenses $67,424

  • Weekly Group Circle Meetings - All Kings Project, Inc held Weekly Group Circle meetings for three groups in New York City - one in Manhattan (Harlem), one in Brooklyn, and the third was online (virtual). These group meetings serve as an easily accessible date and time for new men to enter All Kings and receive our brand of peer-led group trauma healing. These groups create a sense of community within All Kings and hold men in the week-to-week struggles they integrate their new discoveries from the Quest Training into their daily lives. Approximately 175 men attended our circles throughout the year.

    Expenses $14,350

  • Training - Training men to lead Quest Weekends and Weekly Group Circle meetings is an essential component to All Kings' vision of peer-lead trauma healing. All Kings Project, Inc is committed to ensuring our work is not only supporting formerly incarcerated men, but led by formerly incarcerated men. Men who have moved through the carceral system and rehabilitated their lives are credible messengers and make strong leaders for All Kings. Such men engender trust, a critical component for healing, among the men we work with. It takes a full year of participating in Weekly Circle Groups and trainings to qualify for All Kings leadership. In 2022 we held three leadership facilitation training sessions. Approximately 75 were trained to move into a leadership role.
