Mission and programs · 2022
Mission
The MASSB Foundation provides financial support for social service programs that complement the efforts of Maryland based departments of social services by funding programs that either protect at-risk children or adults, or that preserve families. In each case, mainly through providing emergency assistance (such as to provide for heat or avoid eviction), job training or counseling or facility support focused on child protection, family reunification, or parental (caregiver) education and support.
Activities or mission (Part I)
All donations are held in trust for disbursement by trustees (who all serve as uncompensated volunteers) only for Maryland programs that are (1) directly related to assisting at-risk children, families and adults, and (2) are not otherwise governmentally funded or provided.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
