Mission and programs · 2023

Mission

To put Christian principles into practice through programs which build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

  • Healthy Living: The Y is here to support healthy living in spirit, mind and body. Since 1844, the Y has provided communities with opportunities for ALL to engage in healthy habits, no matter their starting point and no matter their goals. With a focus on Belonging, Achievement, and Relationships, we understand that people need support and that the journey to health is one that begins anew every day. Together with our partners in health care, we prevent and help manage disease while strengthening the social network in our local community, vital to our collective mental and spiritual well-being.

    Expenses $1,593,251 · Revenue $1,546,725

  • Youth Development: At the Y we believe that every child is capable of success; no exceptions. We approach youth development from the perspective that EVERY child can reach their full potential when given the opportunity, the encouragement and tools to do so. Y programs and services are designed to keep children safe and nurture their ability to thrive here at the Y, in their homes, in school, and in life. We anchor our work in building RELATIONSHIPS, supporting ACHIEVEMENTS and strengthening a sense of BELONGING, because we know that when these elements are present, children thrive.

    Expenses $1,310,190 · Revenue $1,271,931

  • Social Responsibility: The Y is a "third place" for so many people of all ages: when they are not at home or at work or school, they are here: building relationships, achieving goals, and nurturing their sense of belonging in their larger community. This connection is deepened when their time here is spent volunteering, or when given the opportunity to financially support a program that helps others. We provide our neighbors with opportunities to lift up their neighbors, and our community is stronger for our YMCA as a result.

    Expenses $135,039 · Revenue $131,096

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
