Primary exempt purpose

The specific purpose of Friends of JACK Primate Sanctuary is to support the preservation of wildlife in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) through promotion of educational programs, funding for conservation efforts, and other activities aimed at preventing wildlife extinction. To that end, the Organization will work with and support the DRC conservation organizations already working to advance these charitable goals.

  • New Nursery Enclosure for JACK Primate Sanctuary- build a nursery for the primates that come into the sanctuary, rescued from illegal wildlife trafficking and poaching situations.

    Grants $47,000

  • Rescue and Vet care for JACK Primate Sanctuary - covers cost of the rescue of primates, as well as for daily feeding and vet care for new rescues and existing primates at the sanctuary.

    Grants $24,800

  • Land purchase for NGO APPACOL-PRN, our partner in conservative and to combat illegal wildlife trafficking, to annex to existing structures. The land use is for expansion to create additional enclosures as the numbers of rescues is going up, as well as extra space for the rescues primates to use when out of their enclosures.

    Grants $1,500

  • Unrestricted grant for use in the most urgent demands at JACK Primate Sanctuary.
