Mission
The Placer Community Foundation grows local giving to strengthen our community.
-
Community Needs: Grants provide opportunities for greater community impact in education, health and human services, animal welfare, senior programs, preserving historical landmarks and open space. Placer Collaborative Network brings together 40 nonprofit, government, health care, faith based, educational and municipal entities to work on collaborative issues facing children, adults and families of Placer County.
Expenses $1,268,591 · Grants $991,997
-
Community Leadership Nonprofit Initiative helps local nonprofits thrive and grow through high quality training and technical assistance. Annual leadership summit brings nationally known experts who provide training in best practices in governance and fundraising for over 200 volunteers who serve on boards of directors of nonprofits in Placer County. Eight total trainings provided over 2,022 hours of free training was provided to nonprofit leaders. The foundation continued its work to educate the public on the need for affordable workforce housing in Placer County and to advocate for policy changes to ensure affordable housing is constructed.
Expenses $418,736 · Grants $54,526
-
Arts: Grants enhance and sustain a vibrant arts culture in Placer County by increasing the visibility/accessibility of the arts and promoting sustainability of nonprofit arts organizations. Grants from the Susan Cooley-Gilliom Art Program develop and enhance the visual arts through short-term residencies and workshops taught by nationally established and highly-reputable artists who create a range of media.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
