Mission
To run the Walter Gerlach Livestock Show & Auction which provides a place for students to raise farm animals, show those animals and auction them, as well as receive scholarships.
-
The Walter Gerlach Livestock Show & Auction provides an opportunity for FFA and 4-H students of the the Northside Independent School District to learn about production agriculture. The students in these programs raise and care for their animals for 4 to 9 months throughout the year. Both of these programs teach students life skills, such as personal responsibility, money management, and a strong work ethic. Over 90% of these students attend college after high school graduation. The Auction provides money for educational scholarships for eligible students.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
