Mission
Providing a safe, inspiring and educational environment for students of all ages. Offering reading programs as well as a youth debate team program. Developing community and business leaders for generations to come. Provide scholarship funding/assistance for college bound students
-
The Museums debate team program was placed on hold due to the lack of training space and also due to COVID-19. During this period, students were invited to participate in a Zoom Speech Contest in March, 2021. Twelve students signed up for this contest. Three of the twelve placed first, second, and third place. An additional two students were acknowledged as placing. See website (Awards and Recognitions). Board members served as judges. This was a major accomplishment during aperiod when everday life was at its darkest hour; especially for young people who were unable to get out and socialize with student their ages. The contest gave the students a sense of purpose and involvement as well as aided in maintaining reading and speaking skills. The Kathlyn Joy Gilliam Museum was set on fire in 2020 and again in 2021.Management was unaware of who caused the fires. They worked diligently to raise the necessary funds for restoration.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
