KEY AREAS OF ACTIVITY: RESEARCH ON THE EXTENT TO WHICH CLIMATE CHANGE POLICY IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK WOULD ADDRESS HISTORICAL INEQUITIES WITH RESPECT TO POLLUTION EXPOSURE IN MINORITY AND LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES (ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE), RESEARCH IDENTIFYING WHICH STATE AND FEDERAL POLICIES MAY FACILITATE THE DECARBONIZATION OF THE ECONOMY IN THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST, RESEARCH ON WHAT IS REQUIRED TO FACILITATE A "JUST TRANSITION" FOR WORKERS AND COMMUNITIES HISTORICALLY DEPENDENT ON FOSSIL FUEL PRODUCTION.
