Mission and programs · 2022
Mission
Ignite is a movement of women who are ready and eager to become the next generation of political leaders.
Activities or mission (Part I)
Ignites mission is to build the largest most diverse movement of young women who are ready and eager to own their political power.
-
IGNITE is a non-partisan organization that trains young women from high schools, colleges, and universities across the United States. The participants are passionate about bettering their communities, but may not always understand the role of political leadership in that process. IGNITE teaches young women how to think critically about policy and understand where the levers of power to make change actually reside. Via IGNITEs high school curriculum, college chapters, annual conferences, and elected women network, IGNITE teaches young women to become civically engaged and ultimately step into public service. In 2022-23, IGNITE trained 6,000 young women across the country through a combination of in-person and virtual programming.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
