Mission

A collective effort to pray & serve the greater-LB area

  • Long Beach Church Collective (LBCC) was established to serve the local churches and their leaders through collaborative networking and by providing tools to build a stronger, faith-based community. Efforts are focused on Long Beach, California and adjacent areas. In 2024:We provided 50+ pastors with $1,000 grants to be used for therapy, retreats, or other soul-nourishing activities. In addition, we underwrote 2 retreat weekends for Hispanic pastors and their spouses, totaling 60 people for the year at an investment of $32,000. In October, more than 650 from 20+ churches came together to serve Long Beach working on 45 projects in the local area. We gathered 150 leaders for lunch as a part of our pastors-in-residence program where they were spiritually nourished and encouraged by a dynamic speaker. Additonally, we hosted two events focusing on how to navigate and lead a congregation through the current political climate. We also hosted 120 church leaders for our annual Christmas taco event. In addition, we hosted prayer gatherings, provided counseling and other resources to church leaders. And finally, we supported the launch of Reconcile Long Beach, an organization that works to meet the needs of families involved in or at risk of being involved with DCFS.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
