Mission and programs · 2022
Mission
To create a global, open-source marketplace to digitally track and compensate farmers for growing individually managed trees to support reforestation and alleviate poverty.
Activities or mission (Part I)
GreenStand engages communities through smart-technology, fundraising mechanisms and scientific research to provide sustainable, and state-of-the-art methods for planting and monitoring trees.
-
In 2022 Greenstand's tree tracking system had over 2.4 million tree captures uploaded to the system. Although this has doubled our numbers' the technology still has many aspects that need to be finalized before we can realize the full impact of this model as a method of poverty alleviation on a global scale. The model is being constructed to evaluate the following metrics:Ecological benefits provide: Number of Trees Planted and growing, Biodiversity Enhancements, Carbon Sequestration, Species of trees growing, Tree survival rates, Hectares of land restoredCommunity Engagement: Number of organizations using services, Number of governmental organizations using services , Number of growers, Engagement of growers Demographics of growers. Economic Benefits: Value of tokens created, Number Growers paid, Percentage of impact increasedMarket Engagement: Number of organizations integrating into the model, Number of tokens traded in the marketplace, Value of tokens traded (pending tools), Transaction rates (pending tools) Market access (pending tools), Liquidity, Market depth, Until completion of the complete model, a number of these metrics are not substantial. And a number of the tools required to truly evaluate the metrics are still pending completion.Impact Achievements: 2022Greenstand doubled our tree captures, reached 50% completion of the platform, supported a large number of pay to grow operations, including major urban reforestation efforts by FreeTown Sierra Leone. Successfully completed service contracts from the World Bank and GIZ and gained support from a number of wonderful organizations.Road block: The project has yet to reach a completed form, or be fully funded and as such is still limited by how quickly it can grow on the ground and how many new users the system can handel. A strategic decision was made to focus limited resources on the completion of the required technology and hold off onboarding many of the planters and planting organizations reaching out for services. As such, the Greenstand team made incredible progress towards the completion of the following technologies. Admin Web Client, Android Tree tracking App, Dev ops, Domain Migration Work, Domain Migration-scripts, Greenstand Documentation, Herbarium structure, iOS Tree Tracking app, Map config Api, Software testing and debugging, Tree Tracker functions, Tree tracker Infrastructure, Tree tracker Wallet Admin Client, Tree tracker Wallet API developments, Tree tracker web map core, Tree tracker Web Map app, Treetracker admin api, Treetracker airflow dags,Treetracker Web Map api, Treetracker Denormalization, Treetracker Earnings api, Treetracker Messaging api, Treetracker query api, Treetracker reporting API and Cards, Treetracker Stakeholder api, Treetracker web map demo, Treetracker web map demo android, Trings ios, Wallet ios SDK, Web wallet API, Machine Learning Pipeline, Greenstand project management and administrative services, Greenstand internal communicationsThese technologies, and a few others are required for the mass distribution of payments to farmers on a per tree, incremental growth basis.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
