Mission and programs · 2023
Mission
Create pathways of opportunity for Latinas in Tampa Bay by providing workforce and entrepreneurial training. Referring members to needed health, housing, and financial support services that will increase their families well-being.
-
In the 2023-2024 fiscal year, Enterprising Latinas, Inc. continued to expand economic opportunities for women and low- to moderate-income families in South Hillsborough County. More than 250+ residents from Wimauma and the surrounding communities accessed workforce or entrepreneurship training, leading to higher-paying jobs and new economic prospects. Our dedicated entrepreneurs have introduced a multitude of new services to the community by establishing 110+ new businesses in the last four years that contributed over $1 million to the local economy. We also saw 40 members secure new or better-quality jobs. Through our Wimauma Connects network, 500 households and 25 local businesses have access to free wi-fi service. At least 100 residents gained the skills to access the internet and use a computer through a digital literacy initiative that brings the classes to the places where residents gather including health clinics, churches, and other service providers.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
