TO EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND IOWA'S POLICY MAKERS ABOUT ISSUES, CHALLENGES, AND OPPORTUNITIES IMPORTANT TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN IOWA.

Activities or mission (Part I)

THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND IOWA'S POLICY MAKERS ABOUT ISSUES, CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IMPORTANT TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, THE COMPETITIVENESS OF IOWA'S LAWS AND REGULATIONS AND THE ECONOMCY OF THE STATE OF IOWA FOR THE COMMON GOOD AND GENERAL WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF IOWA.

  • IN 2023, THE ORGANIZATION PRIMARILY FOCUSED ON ENGAGEMENT WITH POLICYMAKERS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS IN IOWA ON THE CURRENT AND FUTURE COMPETITIVENESS OF IOWA'S REGULATED ELECTRICITY GENERATION AND TRANSMISSION SYSTEM WITH OTHER STATES THAT THAT HAVE NON-REGULATED OR LESS REGULATED ELECTRIC UTILITIES. PART OF THAT ENGAGEMENT INVOLVED EDUCATING POLICYMAKERS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS USING THE RESULTS OF PAST STUDIES AND NEWLY COMMISSIONED RESEARCH ON THE MIDWEST ELECTRICITY INDUSTRY.
