EFFECTIVE 1/14/2015, LABF NEGOTIATED A NEW AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, WHICH HOUSES THE LIBRARY OF AMERICAN BROADCASTING. DURING 2023, LABF PAID $35,000 TO UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND TO SUPPORT THE COST OF HOUSING THE LIBRARY OF AMERICAN BROADCASTING. LABF CONTRIBUTED $83,701 TO INTERNATIONAL RADIO AND TELEVISION SOCIETY FOUNDATION TO BENEFIT THEIR STUDENT TRAINING PROGRAMS AND DIVERSITY INITIATIVES. THROUGH THE BROADCAST EDUCATION ASSOCIATION, LABF AWARDED $2,500 FOR THE BROADCAST HISTORIAN AWARD, $3,000 AS A SCHOLARSHIP AND $2,500 FOR THE LEIBNER COOPER GRANTS.
