Activities or mission (Part I)
Ukraine War Animals Relief Fund facilitates clinics in Ukraine to sterilize, vaccinate and microchip dogs and cats left behind from war. UWARF partners with veterinarians, nonprofits and animal shelters in Ukraine to execute missions to treat, shelter and rehome the abandoned animals. UWARF also sponsors an animal sanctuary in Odesa where they are fed, socialized and adopted to new homes. In addition, UWARF provides equipment, like a mobile x-ray machine that can be used near the front lines to examine injured homeless dogs and cats.
-
Maintained and expanded Under the Sun Sanctuary. Currently house 150 dogs rescued as homeless pets as a result of the illegal Russian invasion of Ukraine. Built a kitchen for making dog food, provided transportation and a mobile x-ray machine to be used at the front.
Expenses $80,529

UWARF completed a documentary showing the result of the Russian invasion on the pets near the front. Many are left homeless and need to be fed, sterilized and vaccinated. Without sterilization, the population will grow unbridled. Also, without vaccination the animals will spread disease, including rabies. The documentary was completed and has garnered 14 laurels from film festivals. The 54 minute documentary is called War Tails.
Expenses $42,000
-
Provided support for missions to rescue animals near the front lines.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
