  • Woodmere is a dynamic museum that continues to grow in the vitality of its exhibitions and programming. It is the only art museum solely focused on the work of artists of the Philadelphia region. The museum engages a growing and increasingly diverse audience through ten or more changing exhibitions and vibrant year-round programming. The collection of approximately 11,000 works of art includes the largest concentration of work by Violet Oakley and her circle, as well as important works by Charles Willson Peale, Benjamin West, Thomas Sully, Frederic Church, Arthur B. Charles, Bo Bartlett, and many others. In addition, Woodmere's Helen Millard Children's Gallery showcases five exhibitions annually of art made by children representing the model projects in arts education that can be replicated by teachers. The museum also offers an experience of outdoor sculpture in the context of nature and the environmental features of the museum's grounds. Woodmere continues to develop and integrate the experience across the grounds in a manner that brings art in conversation with environmental science and horticultural interest. Further engagement with the public is provided through an expansive array of educational programs, such as a music series program, lectures, tours, and film. In the fall of 2021, Woodmere acquired a 17,000 square-foot mansion named Frances M. Maguire Hall for Art and Education at Woodmere Art Museum which will allow for a major transformative expansion of the museum's exhibition and outdoor spaces. In addition, this expansion will provide a new drop-in art space for school groups and families and will augment the museum's highly successful educational programming described above. Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
