Mission and programs · 2022

Mission

We are a little league youth program providing baseball and softball instruction.

  • Centennial Lakes Little League has served surrounding communities since 1958 with our youth baseball and softball programs. For the 2023 season, we registered 898 boys and girls from families in the six surrounding communities register to play baseball and softball. In the course of the season, we hosted a softball tournament for 18 teams, 2 State Qualifying Softball Tournament for 60 teams, a State Softball Tournament for 16 teams, a National tournament for 24 teams and combined with Mounds View to host a National Softball Tournament with 68 teams. We also hosted fall baseball for 89 boys and fall softball for 213 girls in our community as well as hosting the fall season softball state tournament.Along with fundamental skills of baseball and softball, our coaches and other volunteers teach respect, teamwork and sportsmanship. We take great pride in teaching values to the youth in our communities. We want them to be confident in themselves so they can take these leadership skills with them years after they outgrow our sports program. We strive to instill the values of discipline and hard work so they can feel confident and accomplished while having fun with other youth in their community. Along with instruction, our program provides equipment, uniforms, umpires, special events, tournaments and participation awards, working with local community governments to provide facilities for a safe and secure environment.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
